The Casino offers guests a refined retreat with a clubhouse atmosphere. New furnishings are a modern take on quintessential American pieces. Dining chairs adopt a vintage look from the roaring 20’s; oversized bronze-dome pendants illuminate the new emerald green bar and plank-top tables with railroad-spike details hearken back to the days when resort guests arrived by the railroad that passed through Hot Springs. A private dining room - with seating for up to 16 - contains modern handcrafted parson’s tables surrounded by ladder-back chairs which conjure regional history. Rich textures, dark leather tones, deep green upholstery and a block-oak floor complete the Casino’s transformation.

Dining Room Revival

The 2008 renovation of The Homestead’s historic Dining Room brings more than a brisk new coat of paint.  Drenched in aubergine and lush lavender tones, the revival includes everything from drapery, to dining chairs - from chandeliers to place settings.  One of the most notable elements will be the expanded dance floor and stage backdrop, designed to respond to the classical proportions of the atrium. Contained within the stage backdrop will be edge-lit artwork rendered in eggplant tones that depict five of the key traditions of The Homestead. The intent is to create a piece that stands the test of time by creating a narrative for years to come.  The Puccini Group has put to task Brintons - the industry leader in Axminster carpeting – who have tailored the Vintage Damask graphic designs of Timorous Beasties, a Scottish based design duo, specifically for this historic space. This bold modification of traditional pattern will create a luxurious "forest floor," tying the warm pastels of the architecture to the deep tones of the wood work and fabrics.  Overall, the intent of the revival is to introduce a vibrant, contemporary palette of traditional textile designs that both complements and contrasts - thus celebrating the theatrics of its classical surroundings.  The aim, ultimately, is to ensure the renovation is both respectful and relevant, locking this revival into the ongoing history of The Homestead.
