Summer Evening Concert Series

This August visit The Homestead and enjoy a concert under the stars.  Each concert will be held on the Resort's Casino Lawn from 8pm - 10pm.  These concerts are free so bring a blanket and enjoy some great music and the cool mountain breezes.  A cash bar will also be available.

• Saturday, August 2nd Robbin Thompson - Was Lead singer in the Bruce Springsteen band Steel Mill, won the American Song Festival twice and has recorded twelve albums.

• Saturday, August 9th Susan Greenbaum - Won a national competition to be the opening act for international superstar Jewel, Performed with Dave Matthews Band and opened for Kenny Loggins.

• Saturday, August 16th Jennifer Kirkland & Bert Carlson - Features jazz, blues and other American popular music.

In the Garden with the Experts

Join nationally acclaimed horticulturist and radio personality Andre Viette and The Homestead’s own Kyle Richardson for our garden symposium. Hands-on workshops and informative classes will give you new and refreshing ideas for your spring or summer gardens.

Labor Day Weekend

August 29-September 1, 2008
As summer comes to a close and fall gets underway, join us for a delightful family weekend. Golf on our championship courses, take a hike on our beautiful mountain trails, or relax with a massage in our world-class European-style spa. From falconry to horseback riding, the possibilities are endless. It’s the perfect end-of-summer treat! Golf & Sporting Clays Outing

September 11-13, 2008
This weekend will feature the ultimate in golf and sporting clays when we combine two of the nation’s most historic sporting pleasures into the country’s newest event. Enjoy 18 stations of tournament sporting clays and 18 holes of tournament golf, followed by a shoot-playoff of the top six two-person teams.

Come and enjoy golf at its best with friends and family. The format is a 36-hole best ball net event, using 100% of handicap for ladies and men. There will be overall net and gross winners as well as flight awards. There will be Closest to the Pin competition with exciting and fun give-aways.

NEW YEAR'S EVE GRAND BALLROOM GALA

Gourmet dinner, entertainment and dancing with THE UPPER EAST SIDE BIG BAND featuring Adrian Duke, with special guest singer Charles Darden.  This orchestra features some of the finest musicians in the state of Virginia.  The band's repertoire spans the big-band sounds of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller and more.  The music will be hip and upbeat for diverse audiences with fresh R&B arrangements from Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles and more.  The audience will also be treated to renowned singer and pianist Adrian Duke as well as guest vocalist Charles Darden, a vocal powerhouse in his own right, whose impressive baritone is a treasure straight from the Great American Songbook.  This will be an unforgettable evening of jazz, swing, standards and R&B music for guest of all ages to enjoy!

NEW YEAR'S EVE DINING ROOM

Offering an elegant, formal dinner and live music from THE CHARLOTTESVILLE SWING ORCHESTRA who have been performing jazz, swing and latin-based music at the highest level for close to twenty years.  Directed by acclaimed jazz trumpeter and arranger John D'earth and featuring stunning vocals by Dawn Thompson, the Swing Orchestra is known for its elegance, excitement and authenticity.

Winterfest Weekend
